Meeting with BAERA Chairman Mahmudul Hasan on commercial irradiation potential across agriculture, food safety, medical sterilization, and advanced materials.
The Cordinato team recently met with Mahmudul Hasan, Chairman of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (BAERA) and former Director General of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Research Commission (BARC), to discuss the future potential of irradiation technology in Bangladesh.
The meeting focused on the commercial applications of irradiation technology and its potential impact across sectors such as agriculture, food safety, medical sterilization, pharmaceuticals, and advanced materials.
During the discussion, Mr. Hasan shared valuable insights and deep technical perspectives regarding the regulatory, scientific, and industrial aspects of irradiation technology. His guidance highlighted the importance of establishing a structured ecosystem that can support the safe and effective commercialization of irradiation-based solutions in Bangladesh.
