International Seminar on Irradiation Technology in Bangladesh

IBA Industrial and GB Corporation seminar on electron beam, X-ray and dual-source technology for agriculture, pharma, trade, and healthcare.

An international seminar focused on the promotion and commercialization of irradiation technology was organized in Bangladesh, bringing together government officials, international technology providers, researchers, and industry stakeholders to discuss the future potential of advanced irradiation applications in the country.

The seminar, titled "Promoting Irradiation of Agricultural, Food, Pharmaceutical and Medical Products by Latest Electron Beam, X-ray and Dual Source Technology to Enhance Trade, Export & Healthcare", highlighted how modern irradiation technologies can contribute to food safety, export competitiveness, healthcare advancement, and industrial innovation in Bangladesh.

The event was organized by IBA Industrial and GB Corporation London Ltd. (UK), with support from the Embassy of Belgium and the Honorary Consulate in Bangladesh.

The seminar featured presentations and discussions on:

  • Food safety and post-harvest preservation
  • Medical and pharmaceutical sterilization applications
  • Industrial irradiation trends and future market opportunities
  • Global perspectives on commercialization and implementation
